I first saw Faster Pussycat at a WASP debutante friend's house because she was the rich girl with the VCR. Now, you can find anything with a Google search, and the immediacy means you take it in with a different set of eyes and ears.
I'm curious why you find "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" unwatchable. I watched it because I'd heard it was one of the scariest movies ever made. I didn't find it scary at all - it was just bleak and depressing. A sad depiction of life at the bottom.
Well, I'll admit it's been a while, but it might have been just how utterly bleak it was - I felt the violence was gratuitous and over the top, but at the same time, that's, uh, probably what serial killing is like, right?
